Clauselens exists to read sensitive documents, so we hold ourselves to a simple standard: store only what the product needs, use it only to serve you, and let you delete it at any time.
1What we collect
Account data: your name, email address, and a hashed password (bcrypt — we never store plain-text passwords).
Contract content: the text you paste for review and the report generated from it, stored together so you can revisit the analysis.
Usage records: analysis runs (type, depth, token counts, credits charged) and credit purchases. These records never contain the contract text itself.
2How contracts are processed
To produce a report, your contract text is sent to OpenAI's API, which acts as a processor. Per OpenAI's API terms, content submitted through the API is not used to train their models. We do not use your contracts to train models either, and no human at Clauselens reads them in the ordinary course of business.
3Payments
Payments are handled by Razorpay. We receive confirmation of the transaction (order ID, payment ID, amount) but never see or store your card, UPI, or banking details.
4Deletion and retention
Deleting a review permanently removes its contract text and report from our database. Reviews stay in your account until you delete them. To close your account entirely, contact support@clauselens.info and we will erase your account data within 30 days.
5Cookies
We use a single authentication cookie to keep you signed in. No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics cookies.
